Summer is coming up and it’s the perfect season to flaunt a glowing, sun-kissed look. If you’re one of those girls who’s into luminous but hydrating makeup, something that’s lightweight and comfortable in hot weather, keep reading!

1. Wash, cleanse and tone!

Makeup is art, and your face is the canvas. Before anything else, you want to start with clean skin. Don’t forget to apply toner right after cleansing, as this corrects and balances the pH level of your skin, while removing dirt and oil residue.

2.  Keeping the moisture

One of the biggest misconceptions about skincare is that people with oily skin can’t use moisturizer, thinking that moisturizer triggers oil production. Here’s the thing:, whether you have dry, oily, normal or combination skin, moisturizer is essential because it locks in moisture.

3.  Don’t get burned

Sunscreen is the most important part of your summer makeup regimen. You need protection from skin-damaging UVB rays. This is a must-do everyday!

4.  Prime time

If you want your makeup to last all day, a good primer will save you. This is will also prevent your makeup from oxidizing and becoming cakey.

5.  Summer glow

The best way to have a natural, luminous look is to use foundation with a dewy finish. You get a natural sunny, shimmery effect, without using too much makeup on your face. It’s also important to pick the right tool for applying your foundation. Use a beauty blender or a stippling brush to blend a liquid or mousse foundation, for a natural and smooth finish.

6.  Slay that sun-kissed blush.

If you want to achieve that fresh-from-the-beach look, first you need the right shade of blush. Orange or coral tones are the best pick for this look. Apply this near your undereye area, and spread it onto your cheekbones. This will give you a natural-looking flush.

7.  Bronze up!

To perfect that summer look, pick up your bronzer! Apply it to the hollow of your cheeks, along the jawline and chin, near the hairline, and down to your temples. You can also use it on the sides of your nose to create dimension.

8.  Gloss is poppin’

You definitely don’t want pale and dry lips. Apply lip balm before putting on lip gloss with peach and orange tones. This will add a translucent effect to your makeup.

9.  All set!

Lastly, apply loose powder to set everything. Avoid baking! You want to keep it natural and lightweight. Use a large powder brush to dust the product all over your face, and pump with a dewy setting spray to give you a glass finish.

To complete this look, here are some easy hairstyles that will beat the heat.

Running out of time? This messy bun is an easy and fast hairstyle to do. Hold up, twist, roll, and done.

If you’re looking for something more stylish, then this scarfed hairstyle might suit you. Simple but fashionable.

And if you’re willing to exert a little more time and effort, then beachy waves will make your summer more exciting. This could become your favorite go-to look!

There you have it! Now grab those bikinis and go beat the heat!
