Trade for a Cause: Exchange your e-waste at SM Cyberzone for tech accessories
by Madge Resurreccion / June 15, 2023
Got some old tech accessories or gadgets to get rid of? SM has your back—with discounts on your upgrade to boot!
SM Malls Online App, SM Cyberzone, and SM Cares have come together for a tech-tastic partnership that encourages people to trade in their used, old tech gadgets at designated SM malls for a cut in your tech purchase. While trading old tech gadgets or accessories may be a small step, it goes a long way in creating a bigger and more impactful change to better protect the environment.
The Cyberzone Trade-In promo is happening until June 30, 2023 with up to 60% off tech accessories such as power banks, chargers, external hard drives, microphones, earphones and more. To join:
- 1. Download the SM Malls Online (SMO) app, if you don’t have it yet: https://click.smmallsonline.com/DFqS/TradeInNow
- 2. Add to cart any participating item, choose in-store pickup, and check out.
- 3. Go to the store, surrender your old tech, settle the trade-in value for payment, and claim your order.
The trade is available at the following SM Malls: SM North EDSA, SM Megamall, SM Mall of Asia, SM Southmall, SM City Fairview, SM City San Lazaro, SM City Sucat, SM City Dasmarinas, SM City Bacoor, SM City Marikina, and SM City Grand Central. Participating store brands include Techwarez, Anker, Villman, Fonestyle, Baseus, Vivo, and Silicon Valley.
The Cyberzone Trade-In promo supports SM Cares’ Electronic Waste Collection Program, an initiative that encourages customers to dispose of e-waste in a responsible manner to prevent harm to humans and the environment.
“The goal of this trade-in promo is not just to provide customers who want to upgrade their tech with exclusive deals; we also want to promote responsible recycling and disposal of old electronic devices,” said Steven T. Tan, President of SM Supermalls.
SM Cares is the corporate social responsibility arm of SM Supermalls, supporting initiatives focused on communities and the environment. Its advocacies include Programs for the Environment, Persons with Disabilities, Women & Breastfeeding Mothers, Children & Youth, Senior Citizens, and the SM Bike-friendly initiative.
