Be Bright

SM Cares brings back SM Bears of Joy this holiday season

The holiday season is indeed in full swing in the Philippines with establishments and businesses starting to brighten up their decor. Adding to the special occasion are gifts that make the holiday spirit extra lively. With SM Cares bringing back their Bears of Joy, Christmas just got a little more joyful for the children.

In line with the theme, “I-share ang ligaya ng pasko kasama ang SM Bears of Joy” featuring SB19’s song ‘Ligaya’, this year’s collection features four adorable ‘FamBears’ inspired by the concept of a ‘family.’ This is reflective of what Christmas is for Filipinos, with many looking forward to Christmas celebrations because it serves as time for the whole family to gather and spend time with each other before the year comes to an end.

FamBears feature four family members: first is Daddy Bear who strives to provide for the family and is someone to lean on. Second is Mommy Bear gives the gift of unconditional love. Then there is Brother Bear, the coolest member of the family who keeps everyone safe. Lastly, the kindhearted and sweet Sister Bear gives hugs and kisses that will take the family’s worries away.

“This year’s collection is all about family. Nothing is as joyful as spending the holidays with those that we love, and we want to help extend this feeling to children who are in need this season through a simple yet very meaningful gesture that our mall-goers can make while doing their holiday shopping,” said SM Cares Senior Vice President for Marketing Jonjon San Agustin

To participate, customers can simply purchase a pair of these specially designed bear plushies, one for themselves and the other to be donated to children in various communities across the country. The plushies are priced at P250 per pair and will be available in select SM Malls nationwide, and through the online stores of Toy Kingdom and The SM Store until December 25, 2022.
