PH companies fall behind as demand in hybrid work increases among Filipinos
by Sam Oliquino / June 8, 2022
Cisco Systems Inc.’s recent study involving 28,000 employees in 27 countries found 92% of Filipinos prefer to work from anywhere.
Out of over 1000 Filipino respondents, 79% said they saw improvements in the quality of their work in the hybrid work set-up. While 84% shared they feel they can do their tasks remotely just as well as in the office. However, only 29% of Filipinos surveyed felt their company is ready to accommodate hybrid working.
According to Cisco, “technology is a key enabler of growth in the hybrid workplace, and it needs to be underpinned by end-to-end integrated security.” The company also adds that “organizations should prioritize a robust security posture that underpins every digitalization effort and ensure that cybersecurity is at the core of their technology architecture.”
