How to Be a Baby Driver
Being a good driver doesn’t mean being the fastest! It starts with the smallest things from keeping your car clean to putting your keys to where it should be placed. These are our drivers essential tips!
Have a place where you’ll keep your keys. A spot in your house, your bag, your office, your body. This will keep you from wasting time looking for them, especially at time when you’re in a hurry!
Before starting the car be sure you’re stepping on the breaks and that you have the hand breaks on. This way you’re sure of your safety from any sudden acceleration accidents.
No this is not the time for you to check on your hair or your make up, but instead if your mirrors give you a perfect and comfortable view of the road. Make sure your rear-view and side mirrors properly placed where it’s supposed to be.
Always have an emergency kit in case you have to drive under bad weather conditions or always have the necessary tools in case your car breaks down! You can never be too ready especially when you’re driving on the road so always good to have an emergency kit.
Before you start your trip, know where you’re going. Decide and find out the best way to get there. Waze helps a lot too also with determining the traffic situation in the place where you are going. Another tip is to check your local traffic enforcement agency’s (MMDA) updates on their social media! It’s one of the best ways to find what’s going on the road, especially EDSA.
When you’ve reached your destination, make sure you parked well. Some drivers like to fold in their side mirrors, just incase. Don’t forget to turn off the lights, radio and air conditioning. Put your hand break up, and lock your doors. Lastly bring out any trash that you may have taken with you unless you want bugs entering your car!
Be defensive and not aggressive on the road. Be kind, patient, and don’t let others ruin your day! Vice versa. Happy driving!
