Celebrating the Mid-Autumn Festival with the family would not be complete without a box of delightful mooncakes.
Fret not as Hilton Manila has recently announced an assortment of handcrafted mooncakes dubbed “Moonlight Bloom,” which is available in five distinct sets handcrafted by Hua Yuan Chef Xia Quiao Yuan.
The promotional period starts in September but there is an early bird discount of 15% from August 1 to 31, according to Hilton Manila. The five sets are Traditional Mooncake, Boutique Mooncake, Snow Skinned Mooncake, Shanghainese Mooncake, and the Luxury Set.
Each set is presented in a ruby red packaging adorned with golden motifs inspired by the traditional art of Chinese paper-cutting.
The Traditional Mooncake Set comprises three flavors: White Lotus, Mixed Nuts with Ham, and Black Sesame with Salted Egg at about P1,888 per box of six. The Boutique Mooncake Set, meanwhile, has the three flavors from the Traditional Set with three additional flavors: Milk Custard, Red Dates with Walnut, and Coconut at roughly the same price.
The Snow Skinned Mooncake Set features a unique twist with flavors like Matcha, Red Bean Paste, White Lotus with Osmanthus, Durian, Chocolate Rum, and Cranberry at about P2,588 per box of six. There is also the Shanghainese Mooncake Set, which contains Pork Meatball and Red Bean for nearly P1,000 per box of eight.
Lastly, the Luxury Set allows customers to choose between the Traditional Mooncakes or the Snow Skinned Mooncakes and includes a tea-making set along with Tie Guan Yin tea.
“Crafted with the utmost care and attention to detail, have a taste of bliss with every bite of our indulgent mooncakes,” said Chef Xu Qiao Yuan. “All mooncakes are carefully made in-house by the team. Happy Mooncake Festival!”
