Living up to its commitment to education and bayanihan, Digido Finance Corp., the operator of consumer finance platform Digido and in-app and in-store installment solutions provider UnaCash, organized a dispatch of back-to-school essentials in support of the Department of Education’s Brigada Eskwela campaign.
Digido, in a press release, said its employees last August 24 provided school supplies including notebooks, writing and coloring materials, and a variety of other supplementary materials to 230 students of Malanday Elementary School in Marikina City, which was affected by recent typhoons.
“One’s education is directly correlated to one’s degree of participation in the financial ecosystem,” Digido country manager Farit Shakirov said. “Through this initiative, we aim to make change by removing immediate barriers in the way of students’ focus on learning and upskilling.”
“Endeavors such as Brigada Eskwela are an opportunity to invest in the bedrock of enduring education, and by extension, holistic maturation. The organization is more than pleased to offer its assistance for such initiatives within the best of our abilities,” added Aleksei Kosenko, president of UnaCash.
Digido added that the initiative aligns with two pivotal Sustainable Development Goals of the United Nations: Quality Education and Reduce Inequalities, which encapsulate the company’s push towards sustainable development through proactive measures.
In recognition of the potential for transformative impact through collaboration, Digido and UnaCash also banked on the cooperation and volunteerism of various teams across the company to contribute to the Brigada Eskwela campaign and express commitment for social welfare.
