PMCC (4th Watch) eyes expansion, fortifies partnerships ahead of 50th anniversary celebration

The Pentecostal Missionary Church of Christ (4th Watch) or PMCC announced plans to further expand the church to East Africa, as well as fortify the commitment of its members and other partnerships as it ramps up preparations for its 50th anniversary celebration.

PMCC (4th Watch) Deputy Executive Minister Bishop Jonathan Ferriol made the announcement in a recent press conference at Dusit Thani Manila. He said he will be traveling by October to Kenya to inaugurate a new church. According to the PMCC, it already has a presence in over 70 countries across North and South America, Australia, Africa, Europe and Asia.

Bishop Ferriol added that the church is expecting over 30,000 delegates, which “a good number of them are non-Filipinos” to attend the International Convention and Golden Anniversary Celebration at the New Clark City Athletics Stadium in Capas, Tarlac on August 27. Bannering the theme “Celebrating the Past, Fortifying the Present, Expanding the Future,” Ferriol said the “celebration of faith” will be open to the public.

“This is also a good time for them to see the Philippines up close and a little bit more personal. We are not only championing our church but we are also unofficial ambassadors of our country,” he said. “Many of them are excited to taste the balut!”

The PMCC (4th Watch) has also solidified partnerships with local government units and non-government organizations during its recent outreach activities. Last July, the church organized a nationwide bloodletting activity in partnership with the Philippine Red Cross, as well as a series of medical missions in coordination with the local government units of Marikina, Cavite, Laguna, Romblon, and Bacolod. Similar efforts were also conducted throughout North America, Europe and the United Kingdom, Africa, Australia, and other parts of Asia.

Thousands of Filipinos in these communities received a variety of medical, dental, and optometry services during the outreach programs, according to a release from PMCC. For Bishop Ferriol, these partnerships have helped the church in its commitment to contribute to the betterment of underserved communities in the Philippines.

“We established these partnerships because we believe these organizations can help us reach a broader audience and serve those in need in these communities. We know that these organizations have the credibility and expertise in getting our message across, and we recognize that we serve a common purpose,” he explained.
