Despite the ‘horrors’ of this year, we are finally approaching the end of summer. Entertainment is important now more than ever and a lot of fans will be delighted to know that Netflix continues to roll out upcoming titles that they won’t stop talking about.

Chilly nights are here and so is the season of Halloween; the day of trick-or-treats, costume parties, and all things spooky. This year, however, we may have to settle for virtual parties and indoor chilling with our loved ones. Let’s not fret, though! For most of us now spending our time at home, Netflix has got your Halloween covered. Here are five spooky shows coming this October that you just can’t miss.

October 9
The Haunting of Bly Manor
Two years after The Haunting of Hill House, Mike Flanagan is back with most of his crew for The Haunting of Bly Manor. Just like Hill House, be prepared for the same thrills, chills, and feels as they completely reimagine the horror genre. Fans of the first show or not, you’ll be thrilled to watch this one as Bly Manor is said to be a complete stand alone. Keep your eyes peeled though as there are said to be easter eggs for the fans of the first show. With its beautifully ensembled characters, unique plot, and amazing cinematography, you will not want to miss this one.

October 16
Someone Has to Die
Set in the conservative 1950’s Spain where appearances and family ties play a key role, this thriller mini series opens with a young man being called home to Spain to meet his fiancee only to surprise his town and family when he arrives accompanied by a man named Lazaro, a mysterious ballet dancer. Ringing with clandestine encounters, promiscuity, and secrecy, this limited series is set to premiere on October 16th on Netflix.

Unsolved Mysteries Volume 2
The wait is almost over for the fans of the first volume! In case you missed it, Netflix is giving us six more episodes of Unsolved Mysteries. The second volume is said to feature more unexplained disappearances, tragic events, and bizarre occurrences that will surely keep you at the edge of your seat. Prepare your theories and help these cases move forward as Unsolved Mysteries Volume 2 hit Netflix on October 19.

Rebecca
If you’re more into psychological horror, this one’s for you. Rebecca is a romantic thriller film based on the 1933 novel of the same name. It stars Lily James married to the dashing and affluent Armie Hammer who seems to still grapple with the death of his first wife. Get ready to take in its dark visuals and unravel the mystery surrounding the whirlwind romance of the couple–and the deceased first missus.

His House
Holding a 100% on Rotten Tomatoes and is said to showcase an interesting twist to the usual haunted house films, His House is definitely one of the most anticipated horror films for the fans of the genre. The film follows a young couple’s harrowing experience in their new home in England as they seek asylum from the war in South Sudan. Mixed with the tropes of classic scary movies and the horror of real-world conflict zones, mark your calendars because His House premieres on Netflix on October 30th.
