5 fashion finds inside mom’s closet

Did you know that your mom’s closet is actually a treasure chest of unused clothes (clothes she probably doesn’t use anymore)! With a little imagination you can mix, match and spice these pieces up! Here are some pieces you might find interesting. (Sorry, Mom!)

The Sunday dress

For the love of Floral and nature prints! Partnered with a denim jacket and a pair of black sneakers, this set is something you can wear on family gatherings and other occasions alike. The match of the earthy colors and denim created a spring-summer look. Totally, digging the denim trend today, the denim jacket added the fierce factor to this set. And not to mention the basic yellow and blue tandem just made it so much better. Who would notice that this dress is a mommy dress?

A day at the park

A combination of street and sporty, this is the peg of this set. Stripes, nudes and whites never fail to create that chic look while staying classy. Knitted tops, I must say is more comfortable than super loose-fitting tops. This top instantly caught my eye while raiding my mom’s closet. Not too showy and not too draggy, matching this outfit with high-waist denim shorts makes it instantly in line today’s fashion trend. Plus with the tropical weather we have, this set is something that can be worn any day.

Channel your inner Koreana

Cheers to K-dramas and samgyupsal! My love for Korean fashion is incomparable. The first time I saw these pair of flare pants, I knew it was definitely Koreana. You can actually match these pants with any top but for this set I wanted it to be a plain white top plus a loose tank top combination. Shopping in the mall, lunch out with friends or even dinner date with the boyfriend or should I say your “oppa”, this look can be worn anywhere. You can actually  step up this look by wearing a pair of heels!

Werking girl

Because office wear often gets boring, this set is something you might want to checkout. Don’t be afraid to dress up despite all the stress in the office. This pale pink blazer caught my attention while raiding momma’s closet. It seemed outdated but then again nothing is really “over” for a fashion piece. Adding a high-waist skinny jeans and a plain white top complimented the pastel colored blazer turning the simple blazer into a sophisticated set. Employee of the month? More like most fashionable employee of the month!

HER little black dress

How to turn your mom’s little black dress into your very own semi-formal to formal wear? Try this out! The cut of this dress was in trend, 5 years ago, no kidding. But it doesn’t end there because putting a touch of 2017 fashion will make this 2012 piece a must have set. Sleeveless tailoring is today’s fashion trend and this will do the trick for this flowy black dress. It added a strong and edgy feel to the outfit that can make you the head turner of the night. Quite simple for an evening affair but at the same time it remains classy.
